We’ve all heard about iPod docking stations, but what about iPod boombox docking stations? JVC have come through again with the JVC RA-P10 Boombox iPod dock. We thought we’d give the JVC RA-P10 our attention, given its popularity. The first thing that struck us when we first saw it was its minimalist, stylish design which takes up very little space. It looks quite techy and sophisticated. It really fits in with the design of the iPod.

We found that the quality of the sound is generally good. There is quite a wide stereo range with the JVC RA-P10. However, we were most impressed by the amount of bass that came out of the little speakers. Low end compensation eas excellent, a real deep bass sound which is completely unexpected from a system of this size. Also, it was loud. You are unlikely to turn this thing up to full blast unless you’re on a desert island.
